Hockey Rules and Scoring
INDIVIDUAL TEAM ROSTERS
Rosters will consist of 10 players and must include players from at least 2 (two) different NHL teams:
- 2 Centers (C)
- 2 Left Wings (LW)
- 2 Right Wings (RW)
- 4 Defensemen (D)
- 2 Goalies (G)
FACTORS
A total of 3 (three) factors must be assigned to each team as follows:
- 1 "2x" factor to any Defenseman or Goalie
- 1 "2x" factor to any Forward
- 1 "3x" factor to any Forward or Defensemen
In Hockey, one "2x" factor must be assigned to a Defenseman or a Goalie.
Each factor assigned will act as a multiplier for that individual player. Players assigned a factor will have their raw point totals multiplied by the assigned factor value to calculate their final point total. Negative point totals will count against the final score.
POINT SCORING
Position Players will accumulate positive points as follows:
- Goals = +5PTs
- Assists = +3PTs
- Plus/Minus = +1PT for (+), -1PT for (-)
- Penalty Minutes = +1PT
- Power Play Goal = +1PT
- Power Play Assist = +1PT
- Shot on Goal = +0.5PTs
Goalies will accumulate points as follows:
- Win = +10PTs
- Goal Against = -1PTs
- Saves = +0.2PTs
- Shut Out = 10PTs
Goalies will not accumulate points for any offensive statistics.
POSITION ELIGIBILITY
Position Players: Players will be assigned positions each week according to where they're expected to play. Listed positions are assigned at the sole discretion of Fantasy Factor.
TRADES, FREE AGENT, AND BENCH PLAYERS
Since you only select players for a single series of games or events, there is no trading of players, no free agent pick-up's, or bench players involved in THE CONTESTS.
GAME CANCELLATIONS AND POSTPONEMENTS
In the event that a scheduled game is canceled, preempted, or postponed for any reason, no points will be awarded for players in the canceled, preempted, or postponed game or event. It is the user's responsibility to be aware of possible postponements or cancellations and adjust their teams as required prior to the start of THE CONTEST.
ROSTER DEADLINES
CONTESTS will close approximately five minutes before the start of the first game included in THE CONTEST. You can edit your roster as many times as you like before THE CONTEST closing time, but all rosters are set and final after a game locks.

Hockey CONTESTS that offer live scoring and standings updates are strictly for the enjoyment of our users. However they are not official and are for informational purposes only. Official scores and results will be posted at the conclusion of THE CONTEST.
